Consumed with my Torchwood obsession, I have gone back to art. Okay, seriously, this is a very different style from what I last posted here - mostly because that style was totally not my style at all. I never draw anime, really. It was just that one picture. That one terrible picture.
I'm trying more for realism here, as I have always strived for in my art, but rarely am I even remotely pleased with the result. I am not sure how to feel about this one - it's like staring at a single word for too long. It loses all meaning and sense, and you're left wondering if it's actually a word at all.
It's Ianto Jones! You can find him in all his graphite glory below the cut.

I'm also in the middle of another picture of Ianto, which is from a different angle and which I think is much better. One thing that's bothering me, though, is that while my scanner is pretty good, a lot of my shading got lost in the process. Anyway.
There are a couple things I already know I don't like about it (but was just too tired of it to fix) but I won't list them in case they are just in my head. I'm sure there are lots of things I could improve on, though. Concrit is always incredibly appreciated, and while I prefer people being nice, if you've gotta be a dick about it then be my guest. I welcome any suggestions.
In unrelated news, Ingrid Michaelson has a new album out! Oh my god, guys, this album is so so so wonderful. I love every song on it, and I'm just... aas'dl;fk'dljlkjh Ingrid Michaelson is too fucking cool for school! Particularly her songs Soldier, Everybody, and Maybe. (also You & I even though that's not a new song.) Go download something right now.
